Hublot Big Bang Depeche Mode “The Singles” Limited Edition Replica Watch

Once again, the famous Swiss watchmaker Hublot is joining its forces with Depeche Mode for a special collector’s edition series comprising 55 unique Big Bang timepieces. Same as before, each of these limited editions is created to benefit charity: water.

Depeche Mode, an English electronic band formed in Basildon, Essex in 1980, have released no less than 55 singles during their 37-year long career. In tribute to this impressive achievement, Hublot introduces a collection of 55unique timepieces inspired by each of the band’s 55 singles.

The dial


The limited edition collection will be produced as unique pieces, one for each single. The watches are based on Hublot’s iconic Big Bang model, a legendary chronograph of masculine and contemporary design. Each of the watches from this special series features, on its dial, a disc printed with the image of the record cover it represents. While the cover is only partially revealed on the front, the back of each watch features the entire cover as well as the charity:water logo printed on the sapphire crystal.

The movement


Visible underneath the crystal is the Hublot UNICO movement, a flyback self-winding chronograph movement with a column wheel mechanism. The movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides about 72 hours of power reserve.


Each piece of the Hublot Big Bang Depeche Mode “The Singles” Limited Edition replica watch, referenced from 411.CX.1101 to 1155.VR.DPM187, is delivered with a Roland JP-08 synthesizer - a limited-edition synth module from the Roland Boutique series, paying homage to and recreating the sounds of the legendary Roland Jupiter 8 synth, used by Depeche Mode throughout the years.

Both are presented in a cabin sized Topas Stealth suitcase in andonized black aluminum, created by luggage manufacturer RIMOWA. This custom-made suitcase contains the unique timepiece, synthesizer, corresponding vinyl single and certificate of authenticity signed by the band.

All from the sale of the 55 unique pieces will go to charity: water, as part of the larger charity initiative between Depeche Mode, Hublot and charity: water. Hublot and Depeche Mode will officially present charity: water with a check for all funds raised during the partnership.
